Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026 · Please read these terms before placing an order.
Summary. ECU tuning carries real mechanical risk and may void your warranty. Our tunes are supplied for motorsport / off-road / project use, you are responsible for local compliance, and our liability is limited to what you paid. By placing an order you accept these terms.
1. Assumption of risk
Performance ECU calibration carries inherent mechanical risk, including but not limited to increased engine wear and potential damage to the engine, transmission, drivetrain, turbocharger or related components. You acknowledge and voluntarily assume all such risks when you order and flash a calibration.
2. Warranty
ECU modification will likely void your manufacturer's powertrain warranty and any remaining factory coverage. Modern ECUs record flash events; a dealer may be able to detect modification. You accept this consequence.
3. Use restriction & compliance
Tunes — and in particular any calibration that alters or removes emissions-related strategies — are supplied for motorsport, off-road, competition or non-registered project vehicles unless otherwise permitted by applicable law. You, the vehicle owner, are solely responsible for compliance with all local, regional and national emissions and road-use regulations.
4. You flash it yourself
EcuTunerx supplies a calibration file. You own your interface device (e.g. HP Tuners MPVI) and your vehicle credits, and you perform all flashing yourself, at your own risk. We are not present for, and do not control, the flashing process.
5. Stock-file backup
We keep a verified backup of your original (stock) calibration before we make any changes, so you can return your vehicle to its factory file. You are responsible for confirming a successful flash and for reverting to stock if needed.
6. Release of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release, waive, discharge and hold harmless EcuTunerx, its owners, employees and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, losses or expenses arising from or relating to the tune or its use.
7. Limitation of liability
In no event shall EcuTunerx's total liability for any claim exceed the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
8. Digital goods & refunds
Calibration files are custom digital products. Once a file has been delivered, the sale is final and non-refundable. Revisions are provided within your stated support window.
9. Support window & revisions
Each order includes a support window (typically 30 days from your first file) during which you may submit datalogs and receive revisions. After the window closes, further revisions may incur a fee.
10. Acceptance
By submitting an order through EcuTunerx you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms of Service.
